Method

For each state, virtual staging searches divided by all staging searches (virtual plus traditional), summed over the latest 24 months to smooth rounded search volumes. The 10-year view uses Google Trends interest for "virtual staging" vs "home staging" in the US, pulled twice and averaged because Trends samples its data.

Limits

Google reports rounded monthly search volumes, and very small volumes show as 10 or nothing, so small states and rare queries are noisy. Google may group close variants of a query. Search volume measures interest, not transactions. Google Trends and Google search volume estimates measure interest differently, so the 10-year Trends shares and the search volume shares are not directly comparable.
